We arrived at the Belvedere in Riccione yesterday from Treviso. We went for a walk in the Adriatic after our arrival. There was a significant thunderstorm through the night and into the morning, all forecasts called for rain for much of the day so We were surprised to find we weather turn out to be spectacular and we left for a ride around 9:45. We chose to do the easy 35 mile ride as a shake out for the bikes & our legs. We still had plenty of climbs and great riding.
It was a beautiful ride through the countryside of the Le March region of Italy where San Marino is visible from many angles. Tomorrow we are going to do a longer ride of 55 miles at a faster pace. The views are still spectacular and the meals that are provided are amazing. Yummy, lots of veggies!
We look forward to grand adventures and pray for wonderful weather during our stay. And once again, a day in Italy without gelato is not a day well spent.
