I've been packed for two weeks and, AT LAST, I am finally off to Spain for a cycling adventure with friends from the Trilogy Bicycle Club. I leave tomorrow, September 10, 2015 and after a quick stop and plane change in Charlotte, NC will arrive in Barcelona at 7:00 a.m. the next day.
I have managed to pack everything in one 22" bag and one moderately-sized backpack. I have all my cycling clothes for both cool and warm weather so I am ready for anything. I also have my bicycle seat, pedals and all of my clothes and toiletries. The bike stuff alone filled half of the suitcase so there was not a lot of room for extras. Still, I probably have packed too much. However, I would rather have it, not need it than need it, not have it - like the rain jacket I tossed in last night.
The good news is I have not yet used the "expando" option on the suitcase and I am carrying a few items for Margaret that I will be able to unload in Barcelona. Guess I may just still have room for a few souvenirs!
