Before we left the hotel, Sandy and I posed with David Wheat in our new jerseys and decided if we were playing tic tac toe, we would have won.
Our first stop was a quick tour of Gstaad where we took a few picas and our guys took on a local Sumo wrestler.
We rode on pavement, gravel and even a few very rustic roads. All of which took us to places that one cannot go on a car. It was also quite a visual to see most of us riding in our Swiss jerseys.
GRAVEL ROAD
We clocked 50.2 miles with 2750 feet of climbing - all of this is approximate depending on whose Garmin you are looking at. The climbs were sporadic but extremely steep and we hit many 12-15% hills and some say they saw 19%, but I was working too had staying upright to look down and check.
SHE WAS CHEERING US UP THE STEEP CLIMBS
This was at the top of one of our hardest and longest climbs. We cheered everyone as they came across the top.
YEP, THAT'S ME!
KEITH AND JUNE ON A TANDEM
We had warm temps, still perfect in the 70's and 80's but our friend Wendy got a little overheated and took time at the water stop to cool off.
Without our Garmins we certainly would have had a hard time finding our way, and as it was we did have to reasses our position as we got the message "off course" several times.
OFF COURSE!!!

You are doing a very good job of making me FOMO. Love everyone's jerseys & Sandy's sleeves.
I agree, FOMO pretty much sums it up. Look at the sunshine and the glorious scenery!
