Business class allowed me to lay my seat flat and sleep the sleep one has on airplanes. Airplane sleep is never seriously deep as dreams are accented by the background hum of engines, soft steps and whispers of attendants, bumps during flight and of course the occasional snorts and snores of other passengers. But it was comfortable and I was able to rest until about 4:30 am Phoenix time - what a treat!
I managed to breeze right through entry, even with all my bicycle stuff; pedals, seat, shoes etc. Makes me wonder if they just see me as an aging harmless woman instead of the vibrant 40 year old image of myself I have captured in my mind’s eye.
I have about 4 hours between flights and so I headed to the No1 Lounge that Bob booked for me in advance of this trip. Oh YES I was so grateful as had a chance to take a shower and enjoy the amenities of what is essentially a first class lounge. Thank you Bob!
Yeah Shower!
No1 Lounge and Lunch
Off to catch my flight to Marseille shortly. It won’t arrive until after 8:00 pm France time. My next entry will be after we spend our first day in France. I can’t believe that after all of these months of planning this adventure is finally underway.
